At the 2012 Sun Circuit, a Rein In Cancer Frisbee Toss was held in conjunction with the “Down the Fence Challenge.” There were many participants and Rein In Cancer raised more than $1,200 at the event.

Brad Barkemeyer was the lucky winner of the Shorty’s 50X hat that was given to the Frisbee Thrower tossed their frisbee in the bed of a moving pickup truck and then was drawn out by one of the youth participants at the show. “It was a really fun event”, Tracie Anderson of Rein In Cancer stated. “We are grateful to Doug and the Arizona Sun Country Circuit for allowing us to participate in this amazing show.”

In 2012, Rein In Cancer began providing direct donations to patients fighting cancer and the first recipient is actually from Arizona. “It is really great that Rein In Cancer is giving back to the horse communities that supported us so much. We look forward to contributing back throughout the United States this year by these direct donations to help those fighting cancer,” Anderson said.
