Southwest Reining Horse Womanless Fashion Show Raises Thousands for Rein In Cancer
Top reiners wore lingerie, evening wear, high heels, and even a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader outfit, and were then auctioned off, with the winner being crowned Miss SWRHA and earning the privilege of being the “Cover Girl” on a special calendar that will be printed with monthly pin-up “girls”! The auction brought in $6,250, and all the proceeds will go to Rein In Cancer.
Ranch Steakhouse Event Raises Nearly $9,000 for Rein in Cancer
The Ranch Steakhouse in Oklahoma City recently hosted a private dinner party in conjunction with the Ford American Quarter Horse Youth Association World Championship Show to raise $8,780 for Rein in Cancer.

Recent fundraising efforts at some of the Nation’s largest equine events have raised over $35,000 for Rein In Cancer. Rein In Cancer, which raises money to fight all types of cancer and aid those fighting the disease, has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to date.
A Dream Comes True at the NRHA Derby
Raffle tickets for a 2007 AQHA filly, Shortys Dream, were offered for sale, with the drawing held during the 2009 NRHA Derby in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Oregon’s Shelle Gibbs was the lucky winner of the pretty filly and the raffle raised more than $11,000.
